The Facts

Laugh today! Laugh everyday! It could be worse...

Happy Thursday! What a trip...we arrived home 30 minutes ago. I have so much to tell you guys but I need to gather my thoughts, dig for my humor and let her "rip"!

That will happen tonight as well as the next few days...every part of the trip has a story!

However, I know you guys are worried, concerned and praying, so here are the facts. The story will come, I promise!

I was diagnosed with HIGH GRADE Myxoid Liposarcoma, stage 3B. They did more tests yesterday to see if it has spread, if this is the case, 3B will change to 4. The highest, worst case scenario. Actually, the worst case is death. (From a selfish & physical being point of view. smile) I will know later today.

If my stage doesn't change, the plan is to do 12 weeks of chemotherapy in Michigan. (This is so rare, they even have a different way of administering chemotherapy, a very high dosage and a different schedule) Then the most invasive surgery will follow to remove the tumor. I will then be treated with radiation.

Are you there? lol!

I thought I wasn't! I even looked around for the "other" patient they where talking too! haha!

Go ahead, swallow that lump in your throat! I know I had to. I also woke up today wondering if this was a bad dream, unfortunately it's reality. I will now change my profile from the "possibility" to "diagnosed."

It was definitely not a dream when I said "I will fight" cancer and "I will beat cancer!!!"

Don't be sad for me; rather write me encouraging and inspiring comments on my blog, pray for us and continue to offer your help, we'll take it!

I am doing fine, my family got me through my first night...we laughed; the Martinez way!
